If you are very lucky in life then you will get to meet Amy and Jon. This couple are simply wonderful. So it is no surprise that their day was one surrounded by lovely people; both family and friends.
Amy was getting ready at her parent’s house. Ken and Annette made us feel very welcome. We were strong and turned down the bacon sandwiches, in favour of capturing the moments… …but there is photographing evidence that Ken is the king of sandwiches! Instead we started capturing the details of the day.
Amy had already had her hair put up and was having her make-up expertly applied. Both her hair and make-up would look amazing twelve hours later.
The sneaky groom sent over a card with beautiful words in the verse (a man of few words himself ;-) ) and then 'broke the rules' with a gift. He adores his bride.
Amy had five adult bridesmaids and two flower girls; no surprise that they were all very close including friends, family and god children. The ladies looked after Amy completely and really were fabulous maids to the bride.
At last she was ready for the reveal to her parents, who then gave her the missing blue item to her ensemble!
In the meantime Jon was with his best mates and family, creating havoc on the roads before entering the church!
Finally it was time for the beautiful bride to make her entrance and to marry her amazing man. The gasps were audible as she made her way down the aisle.
They left the church in style in a vintage car and bus for the bridesmaids...
...their destination being Miskin Manor, not only a fairtytale setting for a reception, but a venue that worked incredibly hard to make the couple's day as perfect as possible.
The colour scheme was light greens and pinks; shown here in the bridesmaid's dresses. Amy's bouquet was a stunning, hand tied one, whilst the girls had simple, but eye catching gypsophilia. A lovely Spring combination.
The room setting was as tastefully decorated as you would expect and the cake was a triumph!
Amy and Jon were fabulous and made photographing them easy; and the results speak for themselves. We even managed some sunset photography.
The evening included a first dance, father-bride dance and tossing of the bouquet (just look at the faces of the ladies!!).
Our regular blog readers may have spotted that there are fewer images than usual in our blog. Well we just couldn't resist making something special for Amy and Jon. So to see the story of their wedding in a video, click on the video (it has sound).
We wish them a lifetime of happiness!
Thank you for choosing us to be your Miskin Manor wedding photographers; what a privilege!
